Your library card is your BC3 ID. The College's Registrar's office issues BC3 IDs. Butler County residents unaffiliated with the College may obtain a "free patron" library card at the library's circulation desk. Please bring a driver's license or other proof of residency.
You must have a valid library card in order to check out materials. A maximum of 10 items may be checked out, two of which may be videos. The check-out period is two weeks for books, 3 days for videos. Books may be renewed once, provided someone has not put a "hold" on them. Items returned after their due date are subject to the following fines: books -- 10 cents per day, videos--25 cents per day, interlibrary loan items--$1.00 per day. For questions about other circulation policies, inquire at the circulation desk.
The library has several computer workstations that offer access to its online catalog, as well as several periodical indexes and the Internet. Please ask for help at the reference desk if you need assistance locating resources in the library.
Reference materials and periodicals are located on the first floor. The circulating materials are located on the second floor.
If we do not have the materials you need, we may be able to get the materials for you from another library through interlibrary loan. You may make up to four interlibrary loan requests per month. Interlibrary loan requests and questions should be placed at the reference desk. Click here to place an interlibrary loan request.
Copies cost 10 cents per page.
The library has several study rooms available. You may sign up for them on the calendars posted on each room's door.
Room L114 in the library is available for library orientation and class sessions. Sign up on the calendar posted the the door to L114.
