Auto Technician Certificate
Classes start September 11, 2017
Earn a certification for entry-level maintenance and repair for vehicles, inspections, and emissions testing in the auto repair industry.
370 hours of instruction from September 2017 to May 2018.
Class Time: Monday & Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Location: Butler County Vo-Tech

Students will attempt the ASE Maintenance and Light Repair (G1) Certification.
This certificate is stackable into BC3’s Technical Trades: Applied Technology Certificate.
Earn a wage while training! Students have the opportunity to work at a dealership while working towards a certificate. Participating local dealerships include:

- Safety and general maintenance.
- Steering and suspension.
- Manual drive train and axles.
- Engine repair.
- Electrical and electronic systems.
- Engine performance.
$9,999 - Includes class materials and 1 attempt at ASE Maintenance and Light Repair (G1) Certification, Inspection and Emissions Certifications.
$75 - Requirements (see below)
$325 - Mechanics Tool Set
Includes the basic tools necessary to complete the certificate and for employment.
- Successful completion of a drug screening.
- Certified background check.
- Vocational screening assessment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
