Rehearsal is Tuesday, May 20th at 10:00 a.m. in the Field House. It should last approximately 2 hours. It is important that you attend. Call 724.287.8711, Ext. 8448 if an emergency occurs that will prevent your attendance at rehearsal.
Because seating is limited, each participating graduate will receive five (5) tickets for family and/or guests. Five (5) Announcements and envelopes are available to each student. Only those with tickets will be admitted to the Field House. Extra announcements are available upon request. Extra Admission tickets may be available and distributed only to those who attend rehearsal.
Diplomas will be distributed after the ceremony downstairs in the Student Union as you return your borrowed stole. Only your diploma cover will be given during the actual ceremony. If you do not attend the commencement ceremony your diploma will be mailed to you.
Gold tassels will be given to honor students at rehearsal. (This is not a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Tassel) the tassel represents academic honors for all students such as summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude. Honors are NOT determined until after final grades have been submitted for the semester.
Phi Theta Kappa members need to identify themselves as eligible Phi Theta Kappa members at the Office of Student Life in order to reserve your gold Phi Theta Kappa Honor Stole.
You and your guests are invited to a reception in your honor in the Founders Hall immediately following the ceremony.
