Grove City Partnership

Grove City College offers a robust BSN degree in partnership with Butler County Community College’s Shaffer School of Nursing and Allied Health.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Attend Grove City College, taking pre-nursing and liberal arts courses while building community on our beautiful campus just 60 miles north of Pittsburgh in Western Pennsylvania.
  • Year 2: Attend Grove City College while taking nursing classes at Butler County Community College and gaining hands-on clinical experience through professional clinical placements in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and the surrounding region.
  • Year 3: Attend Grove City College while completing the additional nursing classes at BC3 and gaining further hands-on clinical experience through professional placements. Earn an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and be eligible to take the State Board of Nursing Exam to become licensed as a registered nurse.
  • Year 4: Attend Grove City College online and take a flexible course schedule that allows you to “earn while you learn” to finish your BSN degree. You may choose to live on-campus or learn from anywhere.
Due to a federal mandate, the clinical sites affiliated with Butler County Community College require that nursing students be vaccinated for COVID-19 for clinical education that takes place in their affiliate hospital systems.
