If you're a high school student, you can earn free college credit at BC3 for what you study at a vo-tech or career and technical center, and be prepared for college and tomorrow's in-demand, high-wage careers.

How to get started with SOAR

  • The first step is to share this information with your parents.
  • Together you can contact your school counselor prior to scheduling for the next school year.
  • Be sure to include college prep academic courses in your schedule to assure college success.
  • See your school counselor at the Vo-Tech or CTC for these forms to be submitted to BC3:
    • Secondary competency task list coversheet
    • Completed secondary competency task list
    • Perkins program of study statewide articulation agreement document cover sheet
    • Any earned industry certification

To earn SOAR credits you must submit a BC3 Application for Admission along with a one-time, non-refundable $25 fee. Then select BC3 program of study that corresponds to your high school program.

To take advantage of SOAR, you must be a graduate from one of the Career & Technical High School programs listed below in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023.
