BC3's 8-week program is fully funded by Butler County and includes EMT certification training, on-the-job experience,
and a guaranteed pathway to employment with a Butler County EMS provider.

Academy Requirements
You'll gain essential skills in:
- EMT certification training approved by the PA Dept. of Health
- Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training (EVDT)
- Real-world experience through ambulance ride-alongs
- Preparation for the NREMT Cognitive Exam (includes one attempt)
To join the EMS Academy, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be a Butler Co. resident for at least one year
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Hold a valid (current and unrestricted) driver’s license
