(Butler, PA) Taylor Simon had five services aces and 14 digs, Addison Say 23 assists and Madelyn Nosel 14 kills as the 13th-ranked Butler County Community College volleyball team swept the Community College of Beaver County on Monday night in the Field House on BC3’s main campus in Butler Township.

Sarah Lucas added a season-high nine assists as the Pioneers posted victories of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-14 to move to 9-2.

Simon has had five or more service aces in three matches this season and at least 10 digs in all 11. Say has had at least 15 assists in 10 matches; and Nosel, 11 or more kills in eight.

BC3 was ranked No. 13 among 86 National Junior College Athletic Association Division III programs in a poll released Sept. 29.

BC3’s program has been ranked in the Top 15 in Division III of the National Junior College Athletic Association in 42 of 48 polls dating to Oct. 4, 2021, including the past 23 in a row.

CCBC fell to 1-11.

Simon, a graduate of Butler Senior High School, is a defensive specialist; Say, Keystone, is a setter and opposite hitter; Nosel, Warren, an outside hitter and Lucas, Butler, a defensive specialist.
