Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) - Hybrid Delivery

EMR Training - Hybrid Delivery

Ideal for students looking to develop skills or advance a career in the healthcare industry or as a first-responder, without rigorous clinical practicums. This 72 - hour Hybrid program is comprised of a 40-hour online portion and a 32-hour hands-on lab to fulfill the educational requirements for entry level emergency medical training in several topics with regard to scene control, patient assessment and management of illnesses and injuries until more advanced help can arrive. This course follows the National EMS Education Standards along with the current version of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Service’s BLS protocols and EMS scope of practice.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Hybrid Delivery

Training for this course takes place both in the classroom and online. This 184-hour course will provide basic training in all aspects of emergency medical care that an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is permitted to provide throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This course will follow the current National Education Standard for the Emergency Medical Technician. Tuition covers EMS Testing, BLS Certification Material and E-Card, Hazmat Awareness and LC Ready NREMT Test Prep Program.

BC3 Main Campus August 9, 2022 – December 10, 2022 

Weekly classwork is done online with weekly lab sessions. Student has their choice of lab session (based on availability): Tuesday morning 9:00am – 1:00pm OR Tuesday evening 6:00pm – 10:00pm.

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) - Hybrid Delivery

August 15, 2022 – January 28, 2023

The Hybrid Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) program will provide the student with knowledge and skills of advanced patient assessment and treatment of the sick and injured persons in the community. This program will combine many disciplines of learning including, classroom, internet, simulation and clinical aspects of education to provide the student with many opportunities to excel within the program and the community.

Weekly coursework is done online with biweekly lab sessions on Mondays 8:00am – 5:00pm at BC3 Main Campus.

American Heart Association (AHA) Training

BC3 is a CPR/AED & First Aid training center for the American Heart Association.  We offer certification training for healthcare professionals as well as for community member

AHA Training For Professionals

These advanced classes are for healthcare professionals, providers and emergency responders whose fields require AHA/BLS Certification.  Heartcode - Blended Learning, are essentially what we call Hybrid courses. The Heartcode classes and Skill Labs result in the same certification card for the same two year period as our on-site certifications, the Classes are Online, the Skill Labs are in-person with an instructor on site. 

We can do any of these classes as open enrollment or contract training including at their location. While some companies may opt to do only CPR training, any company would benefit from providing this valuable training to their employees.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

This course is intended for the BC3 Nursing Students at both Main Campus & Brockway. Please see class description for the available dates and times for skill lab sessions.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

For providers in pediatric clinical areas, Paramedics / AEMT. Please call the EMS office at 724.287.8711 ext. 8418 to complete registration.

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS)

For Physicians/PA’s/NP’s/Nurses that do not specialize in pediatrics, EMS; Any level, Respiratory Therapists, Healthcare professionals outside of critical areas. This is contracted training only. Please use the contact information on this page for more information.

Heartcode Skills Assessments

Heartcode Skill Assessments will be scheduled periodically every month for students needing to complete their skill labs. Times are flexible and need scheduled at the time of registration. Please call the EMS office at 724.287.8711 ext. 8418 to complete registration.
