Professional Licensure Information

Butler County Community College (BC3) offers several associate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for professional licensure and/or certification within the state of Pennsylvania.  Some programs lead to licensure and/or certification when all program requirements have been fulfilled, while others may require individual courses that prepare students to take certain licensure/certification examinations throughout the course of study.

Some programs may have selective admissions criteria and processes. Prospective students should contact the Office of Admissions to inquire about the criteria for admissions and program-specific application procedures.

NOTICE TO OUT-OF-STATE STUDENTS

Professional licensure and/or certification requirements may vary from state to state.  There may be a need for additional education requirements and/or special authorization from the professional licensing/certification agency in that state.   BC3 cannot guarantee program requirements meet the licensure/certification requirements in states other than Pennsylvania.

Out-of-state students seeking to enroll in a BC3 course or program that customarily leads to professional licensure/certification, should first contact the professional licensing/certification agency in their state of residence to determine whether or not the BC3 course or program meets the requirements in that state.
