Applications

The Nursing, R.N. program application will open the following dates:

  • August 1, 2024 - December 1, 2024 for General applicants - Fall 2025 consideration
  • March 1, 2025 - May 2, 2025 for Advanced Standing (LPN-RN or Transfer Nursing student) applicants - Fall 2025 consideration

Students are welcome to apply as a Health Care Science, Pre-Registered Nursing student at any time to take application or general education requirements. Please visit bc3.edu/nursing-admission for the most up-to-date information and to access the application.

Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
The Associate Degree RN program at Butler County Community College at the Butler Campus located in Butler Pennsylvania and the Associate Degree RN program at the Brockway Instructional Site in Brockway, PA is accredited by the: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), 3390 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30326, (404) 975-5000, www.acenursing.org. The most recent accreditation decision made by the ACEN board of Commissioners for the Associate Degree Nursing Program is Continuing Accreditation.

Career Programs

Earn a 2-year associate degree and develop the professional and technical skills necessary to start a career upon graduation.


This degree in Business Management provides a broad-based coverage of both practical and theoretical business knowledge for those presently employed in supervisory positions who desire advancement and for those who seek initial supervisory training in preparation for employment.

The Health Care Science degree provides a foundation to prepare students interested in admission to a health professions program at Butler County Community College or to transfer to a health professions program at a four-year institution.

The Nursing Program at Butler County Community College is a two-year academically-based program that prepares the graduate to provide and manage direct care to individual clients and their families; and to function as an effective member of the health care team.

Transfer Programs

Transfer BC3 credits to earn a bachelor's degree. BC3 credits are recognized by public, private, and online 4-year colleges and universities.


The program in Business Administration is designed to present the basic foundations necessary for transfer to four-year colleges having typical third and fourth-year programs in various Business Administration fields.

Accessible Education

BC3 has an open admissions policy which means SAT or ACT test scores are not required. If you have your high school diploma or GED, you can attend BC3. Small class sizes offer individualized attention and academic support.
