Curriculum
Our inquiry-based learning approach encourages children to explore and wonder through play as they gain knowledge about the world around them.
Children will learn about the arts; literacy; math; science; social, physical and emotional development; and writing through project-based learning experiences centered on topics of study and their interests.
The Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards are used to guide the curriculum planning so that all developmental domains are addressed. Each child is assessed and the input of parents/guardians is utilized to determine individual goals for the child's optimal development.
Our goal is to help each child to develop:
- A positive self-image
- Independence and self-help skills
- Positive relationships with themselves and others
- Healthy habits for healthy bodies
- Fine- and gross-motor skills
- Curiosity and thinking skills
Variety keeps the day interesting and exciting! Activities include:
- Child-directed explorations and teacher-guided activities
- Indoor and outdoor learning experiences
- Active times and quiet times
- Small-group work and partner projects
