At BC3, scholarships are for everyone. Whether you’re a first-year student, a parent returning to school, or a future nurse or engineer, there’s an award for you.

Who Can Apply?
If you’re registered for a BC3 associate degree, certificate, or workplace certificate program in fall 2025, you're eligible. Scholarships are available for:
- All majors and academic programs
- Students at any BC3 campus or online
- Veterans, nursing students, and more
How It Works
Applications open every year on April 15 and close July 1 for the upcoming fall semester.
Many scholarships consider financial need, so complete your FAFSA to maximize your eligibility.
You must apply to BC3 and register for fall semester classes before applying.
Complete one application to be considered for 160+ scholarships. Then, watch your myBC3 email for award updates.
Types of Scholarships
BC3 offers a variety of scholarships—because every student’s story is unique.
Here's how scholarships are awarded:
These awards recognize your hard work in the classroom and beyond.
They're based on:
- Academic performance (such as GPA)
- Leadership, community involvement, or achievements
You don’t need to demonstrate financial need to qualify—just show your strengths.
These scholarships are awarded based on financial need.
To qualify, you must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
Need-based awards help make BC3 even more affordable for students and families.
Some scholarships are designed for students in certain majors or programs, including:
- Nursing
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
- Business
- Arts and Humanities
These awards support your educational journey in the field you’re passionate about.
You may be eligible for scholarships based on where you live.
Some awards are for students who are residents of a specific PA county.
Note: Even if you live outside of Butler County, you may qualify for support.
Thanks to the generosity of BC3 alumni, faculty, local businesses, and community members, the Education Foundation awards over 160 scholarships annually.
